NINO

NINO

NINO is the solution that helps people over 50 use the Internet and technology in a simple, safe and informed way.

The project

Created for those who did not grow up with digital technology and often find themselves confused by complex procedures, unclear information and online scams, NINO transforms learning about technology into a guided, accessible and practical experience. With interactive courses, a virtual assistant and a support space, NINO helps those new to the web every day to learn, protect themselves and feel more independent in using these new tools.

Who is NINO for?

  • People over 50 who want to feel more confident in their everyday use of digital technology
  • Family members, caregivers and professionals who support less digitally literate segments of the population in accessing technology
  • Public bodies, companies, NGOs and foundations that want to generate social impact through digital inclusion

What you can do with NINO

NINO combines training, support and community in a single intuitive and inclusive app.

COACH

Mini courses and practical activities to learn how to:

  • Use your smartphone
  • Recognise a digital scam
  • Recognising disinformation
  • Manage online services

CARE

A virtual assistant who is always available, ready to answer your questions and guide you step by step through the most common digital tasks.

CONNECT

A space to interact with other users, share experiences, feel less alone and learn together, including through games and challenges.

Why NINO is useful

NINO was created to respond to a concrete social emergency that has also been recognised at an institutional level: to bridge the digital divide that affects millions of people over the age of 50, making them more vulnerable to online scams, digital exclusion and misinformation.

According to the latest European and Italian guidelines – from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) to the National Strategy for Digital Skills – digital inclusion is now a strategic priority.

NINO fits perfectly into this scenario, offering a concrete tool to:

  • Strengthen digital autonomy and online self-defence for the less experienced
  • Prevent digital vulnerability (phishing, disinformation, fraud)
  • Improve access to digital public services and active inclusion
