Media literacy and digital citizenship paths for the educating communities of the Turin belt.
The project
The DREAM project aims to promote an inclusive digital environment by enhancing media literacy and online safety among young people aged 11 to 14.
The project involves partners in Italy, Poland, Greece, and Ukraine, and aims to train “Youth Participant Leaders” from the involved countries for peer-to-peer training and awareness-raising actions.
Other objectives include strengthening critical thinking skills for boys and girls, training educators (training for trainers), and raising awareness among caregivers about online risks such as cyberbullying and disinformation.
One of the outputs will be the creation of “Guidelines for child-friendly programming,” aimed at future ICT professionals to integrate a child rights-based approach into the development of digital tools. The project pays special attention to the inclusion of migrant, refugee, and IDP (Internally Displaced People) children.
